Of Pool Chairs and Stars. The plastic straps of the pool chair dig into my back, the stars twinkle above my head with a cheerful yellow light.
Glistening, twinkling, unreachable and beautiful.
A soft breeze rustles the trees surrounding the pool area, a sweet smell greets my nose. Perhaps a freshly bloomed flower, it’s a comforting smell.
The depth of space is immense, an endless pool of black.
I glance to my left, and my company for the night is curled up asleep. Her hair drapes over her face, shadowing her now un-creased brow and nose.
For an instant, I debate waking her so she can enjoy the view as well, but no, I’ll let her sleep.
I slowly stand, pulling my jacket over my head and draping it over her sleeping form. I straighten my shirt and glance up one last time before settling back down into my chair for a light snooze.
Endless stars, some already dead, but still shining to our eyes.
A cricket chirps as I drift off, the stars watching over me and my companion.

Hot day+interview=horrible2005-11-01 17:33:01 by sporky2005
Kitty... *smiles* lol...
Good ole employers. Seriously though, why do they pick they worst people to interview others?
I had an interview once a hot day. The type of dry, sticky heat. The interviewer decided it would be a good idea to sit outside. So we sat down on plastic chairs. Needless to say when we stood up there was a pool of sweat in my chair, and my light blue shirt had very embarrassing pit stains. The interviewer gave me a couple of weird looks and I didn't get the job.
It doesn't top being called KITTY but it was horrible.
